You can invite brands directly to download Canal. If they make 10 sales in 90 days, you’ll both get $100 to Gems, the Canal rewards store. Plus if they’re a direct partner, we'll waive Canal fees on your relationship for 90 days!
Below's everything you need to know about Canal's referral experience.
To get started, invite a brand to Canal
First, navigate to the Refer + Earn tab. You have two options for inviting a brand to Canal.
Direct partner: Depending on which app you are using, you’ll see an option for Direct Supplier or Direct Storefront. With this option, the supplier or storefront you invite will receive content related to how to partner.
Friend: Using the friend option, you can invite anyone to Canal. The content they are sent will have general information on both apps, and they will be able to pick the app that best fits their needs.

What happens after I invite a brand?
After you invite a brand, you’ll see the status of their referral in the tracker below.
Once your referral has downloaded either the Canal for Suppliers or Canal for Storefronts app, you will be notified via email. If they are a direct partner, they will appear in either the My Suppliers or My Storefronts tab, depending on the app you are using.

Waived fees between direct partners
If your referral is a Direct Partner – either a Supplier or Storefront – we won't charge any platform fees on sales for your partnership for 90 days. This starts the day your partner downloads the app. You’ll be able to see how many days you have left in the Referral Tracker and when viewing their page in My Suppliers or My Storefronts.
Earning Credits to Gems, our reward shop
If the brand you referred downloads a Canal app and makes 10 sales in 90 days, you’ll both get $100 to spend at the Canal Rewards Store.
If you referred a Supplier, they need to sell 10 products through Canal Storefronts.
If you referred a Storefront, they need to make 10 sales of Canal goods through their website.
Within a week of your partner’s 10th sale, you will receive an email with a unique rewards code to use on the Canal Rewards Store. This email is sent to the Primary Email Address in your account settings, so make sure it is up to date.
Redeeming your rewards credits
To redeem your credits, click through to the Gems store, or go to www.gemsbycanal.com.
Browse awesome goods from the coolest suppliers on Canal. At checkout, you can enter the unique promo code sent to your email. This credit will be deducted from your cart total. Free stuff for the win!
